Albasoft

Help

Follow these steps to move from a clean account to a saved CFD case and report. The built-in solver is for rapid exploration; final engineering decisions should use independently validated CFD or physical testing.

  1. 1

    Create an account

Open Albasoft, choose Create account, then enter a username, email address, and password. Albasoft sends a 6-digit verification code to that email before the account is ready.

  2. 2

    Import or choose a model

Use Import a 3D model for OBJ, GLB, glTF, FBX, or USDZ files. If you do not have a file yet, choose a built-in shape such as Wing, Hull, Sphere, Cylinder, Plate, or Teardrop so you can test the workflow immediately.

  3. 3

    Set the model front direction

For uploaded models, tell Albasoft where the model front points in the source file. The lab aligns that front direction to North so flow angles and reports stay consistent.

  4. 4

    Choose Aero or Hydro

Use Aero for air studies and Hydro for water studies. This changes the fluid defaults, pressure model, depth or height labels, and the diagnostics shown before solving.

  5. 5

    Enter physical inputs

Set object speed, wind or current speed, height or depth from sea level, mass, flow orientation, and model orientation. Choose the unit before typing the value so the SI conversion is exact.

  6. 6

    Review validation

Read the validation messages before solving. They flag missing inputs, extreme speeds, unusual Reynolds ranges, hydrostatic pressure concerns, and cases that should be handled with validated CFD.

  7. 7

    Run or import CFD

Select Albasoft CFD 2026.1 for a rapid panel and wake estimate, or import external CFD data when you have validated solver output. Imported CSV fields should include x,y,z,p,u,v,w.

  8. 8

    Play and inspect the field

Press PLAY to animate streamlines and inspect pressure-mapped surfaces. Use the camera, display controls, and run history to compare how setup changes affect drag, lift, pressure, and residuals.

  9. 9

    Save the case

Create a project, name the case, and save it. Saved cases keep the setup, validation state, solver runs, imported results, and model association for repeatable studies.

  10. 10

    Export a report

Use the PDF export after a completed run. The report includes case setup, fluid properties, dimensionless numbers, solver results, coefficient estimates, and validation notes.
